Equestrian Steel Building Questions
What size riding arena do I need?
It depends on your discipline and how you ride. Start with the riding area you want, then add room for entry, viewing, and storage. Tell us your plans and we will help you choose a width, length, and eave height.
Why choose steel for a riding arena?
Steel framing spans wide with no interior columns, so the riding area stays open. It also goes up faster than many other building types and can be designed for your site’s snow and wind loads.
Can you build a horse barn or stable?
Yes. We can design buildings for stalls, tack rooms, wash areas, and storage. Tell us your layout and we will plan the building around it.
Do you supply overhead doors, windows, or footing?
No. We design the building and its openings for the overhead doors and windows you choose, and they are installed by others. We supply commercial walk doors (man doors). Footing and flooring are by others.
Can the building be insulated?
Yes. We supply insulation. Tell us how you will use the space and we will include the right options in your quote.
Can I add on to the arena later?
Yes. Steel buildings can often be designed so bays, lean-tos, or storage can be added later. Let us know your plans so the design allows for it.
Do I need a permit for an arena or barn?
Yes, in most places. Requirements vary by county or city and by how the building will be used. Check with your local building department. Your building is engineered for local codes, with plans prepared for permitting.
How long does it take to get an equestrian building?
Our current turnaround is 8 to 10 weeks. Timelines can vary with project size, options, and demand.
